🎞️ Welcome to YouTube Video Editing 101! Your friendly space to start editing your first videos for YouTube. Are you completely new to video and editing, but want to learn how to do it? That's fine, join this club and I'll show you how to get started. We'll go from complete beginners and learn a whole bunch of skills from absolute basics and keep learning video editing skills until you can breeze through your own edits like a pro!

What You’ll Do

• Join a small group of 3 students and meet once a week in an ongoing class
• Set up your YouTube channel and learn how to post and manage videos responsibly
• Use CapCut to trim clips, add music, text, and effects, and bring your ideas to life
• Work together on fun beginner projects while learning how to give and receive feedback

What You’ll Learn

• Video Editing Skills: Cutting, transitions, captions, and adding sound effects & music
• Basic Storytelling: How to plan, organize, and structure a simple video
• Digital Responsibility: Understanding online safety, copyright basics, and channel setup

What You’ll Need

• A laptop or desktop computer with a working microphone and camera
• CapCut (free download)
• A Google account (for creating your YouTube channel)
