State ESA Programs
Recess (Collaboration Studios Inc) is an approved vendor with the following state ESA programs. We're adding more all the time — if you don't see your state, reach out at [email protected].
Arkansas
ActiveADE Program
Recess is an approved provider in Arkansas's ADE program, so you can use your ESA funds to enroll in classes with no out-of-pocket cost.
How to use your funds
- 1. Click "Request Invoice" below — we'll email you a Stripe invoice you can submit through ClassWallet (see instructions at arkansashomeschoolfreedom.com/classwallet-how-to-1). You do not need to pay anything upfront.
- 2. ClassWallet reviews and approves the request, typically within 24-48 business hours.
- 3. Once approved, we receive the payment and add the funds as credits to your Recess account. If you don't have an account yet, you can create one at recess.gg.
Florida
ActiveStep Up For Students (FES-UA)
Recess is an approved provider in Florida's EMA system through Step Up for Students, allowing you to use your FES-UA scholarship funds to enroll in enrichment courses with no out-of-pocket cost.
How to use your funds
- 1. Log into your EMA Account at apply.stepupforstudents.org.
- 2. Navigate to the Service Providers section and search "Recess/Open School" — Recess, www.recess.gg, San Francisco, CA.
- 3. Select the services you'd like to register for. Once submitted, we'll receive the payment request and reach out to you via email within 24-48 hours.
Texas
ActiveEducation Freedom Accounts
Use your Texas Education Freedom Account to purchase a Recess membership directly through the Odyssey Marketplace.
How to use your funds
- 1. Log into your Odyssey Parent Portal at educationfreedom.texas.gov.
- 2. From your dashboard, go to your student's wallet and click "Shop Marketplace."
- 3. Search for Recess, select your membership, and add to cart.
- 4. Complete checkout — Odyssey processes payment directly to Recess.
- 5. Recess activates your membership!
Wyoming
On HoldSteamboat Legacy
The Wyoming ESA program is currently on hold due to an ongoing legal challenge. We're monitoring closely. When the program resumes, Wyoming families will be able to use their annual ESA funds to purchase a Recess membership directly through the Odyssey Marketplace.
