The Poker Class - Level 101
Learn math and game theory by playing poker - the game of strategy, probability, and decision-making!
Hosted by 2 expert guides
I'm Jeremy.
I've been playing poker for as long as I can remember. I've played in cash games and tournaments across the United States as well as Europe. Over the last decade, I've hosted a home poker game nearly every week. Now, with thousands of hours of hosting, playing, and studying this game, I've decided it's time to pass my knowledge on and help train the next generation of players.
I'm also on staff at recess! I oversee video content and storytelling.
Class Structure
- Join a small group of 7-9 students and meet once a week for 10 weeks.
- Classes will consist of lecture, drill, and play. We'll learn a concept, drill on situations together, then finish each week by applying these concepts to a real game.
- Tackle interactive strategy challenges that build instincts for balance and exploitation.
- Review your play to understand why each decision works or fails.
- Compete in friendly games to apply your learning in real time.
Bankroll
- Student will also learn the importance of bankroll management.
- Everyone will start the class with a limited chip amount (100 chips). You can earn more chips based on in-class participation and completing assignments. You'll use these chips to play with at the end of each session.
- By the end of the 10 weeks, the students who have banked the most chips can earn prizes, recess coins, merch, and more!
