WELCOME TO THE EVOLUTION OF STEM DISPLAY MODEL BUILDING MINI CAMP!

Science-lovers & history buffs will gather with friends to build the brand new Evolution of STEM display model set under the guidance of their favorite Rocket Science teacher, Teacher Tom, while learning some amazing science & history !

THIS. SET. IS. AWESOME.

We will begin by each sharing which part of the set we are most excited to build out. (Can you guess Teacher Tom's?) Learners should have bag # 1 open with their pieces organized into types before class begins. Teacher Tom will display the instructions on his screen while building alongside you.

Teacher Tom will teach you all about the 3 famous scientists featured in this set along with the science & history behind many of the other features. We will find the hidden features as well as an anomaly & decide if we think this was done in error or on purpose! You may need to pause building for a moment here & there to see some cool photos & videos & learners can ask questions anytime.

Here is some info about the Evolution of STEM set:

-This is a science-themed set that you can display when you are done building it. -This is an 879-piece set that measures over 10.5 in. (27 cm) high, 9 in. (23 cm) wide & 7.5 in. (19 cm) deep. -It features a buildable base in the shape of an open book topped by mini builds that represent historic innovations including Newton’s apple tree, Carver’s plants bed, a space shuttle & a robotic arm. -Build an early car & a home computer, the NASA Voyager Probe with the Golden Record on board for any extraterrestrial life form that may find it, & much more. -Turn the dial to make a 3D replica of a carbon atom float upwards & a DNA strand rotate.

• Build 3 famous scientists including Marie Curie, the first person ever to win 2 Nobel prizes; Sir Isaac Newton, famous for his law of universal gravitation; & pioneering agricultural scientist George Washington Carver.

We will end class by showing off our sets, deciding where we will display them, & wrapping up any last questions that we have about what we learned in camp.
