What you'll do:

Mindustry is a sandbox tower defense game that emphasizes resource management and strategy. Players mine resources, construct buildings, and design production chains to defend against waves of enemy robots. It features multiplayer modes, a map editor, and customizable units, offering a complex and engaging gameplay experience.

Each week you will:

  • Meet up with the same group of kids
  • Tackle exciting challenges that take you from beginner to expert
  • Make friends with a community of kids who share the same interests as you
  • Gain access to extra weekly events where you can test your skills, make new friends, and learn from others
  • Learn about the map maker and how to design your own challenges and maps

❗Mindustry is a hard game. We highly encourage every kid to play on their own during the week!

Why join our all-girls cohort?

Creating spaces specifically for girls in STEM-related clubs is crucial for several reasons:

Empowerment & Community: Girls will be encouraged to lead, innovate, and join a community of like-minded peers, fostering friendships and collaboration.

Skills Development & Inclusive Environment: Through our scaffolded challenge progression, they will design, maintain, and manage complex systems in a supportive space where they can freely express themselves, take risks, and build confidence.

Combatting Stereotypes & Boosting Confidence: By providing a supportive all-girls environment, we help dismantle stereotypes, allowing girls to take on leadership roles and build their skills without fear of judgment, fostering self-assurance.

Encouraging Participation & Providing Diverse Role Models: Our program features a diverse group of guides, reflecting different backgrounds and experiences, helping girls see themselves in STEM roles and inspiring them to pursue their interests confidently.
