Build lasting friendships and practice social skills through the power of play. Recess Nintendo Switch Squads are designed for kids who love cozy, creative, or cooperative games on their Switch, and want to connect with others who do too. Every squad sticks with one game at a time, chosen by the group. You’ll get to explore your favorite titles together while learning how to be a stronger teammate and community member.
Note: These squads are only for games played on the Nintendo Switch. If you're interested in a different game or platform, send us a message, we’re happy to help find or create the right squad for you.
What You'll Do
- Make new friends who share your love of Nintendo games
- Play your favorite Switch games with a consistent group each week
- Build teamwork, communication, and confidence while you play
- Learn how to be a positive teammate and co-lead a group
- Receive personalized guidance to help you navigate challenges, friendships, and decisions
Games We Love to Play in This Course
- Animal Crossing:
- Stardew Valley
- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
- Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
- Splatoon 2 or 3
- Other cozy or creative Switch games (suggest your favorite!)
Each squad plays one game together, and may switch to another if the entire group agrees.

What You'll Need

- Nintendo Online (for multiplayer play)
- A working camera and microphone
- Gather access (Recess Virtual World)
- A stable internet connection
