These squads are all about cooperative games that require communication, coordination, and creative teamwork. Whether you're cleaning alien goo, escaping spooky wildernesses, solving puzzles in sync, or building chaotic train tracks, your squad will learn how to collaborate under pressure (and have a lot of fun doing it).
Games we love to play in this course:
- Out of Space – Clean alien messes and keep your ship alive
- Don't Starve Together – Survive, farm, and fight in a dark and spooky world
- Unrailed! – Build a moving train track together before it crashes
- Pico Park – Solve puzzles by syncing up perfectly with your squad
- R.E.P.O. – Work together as robot agents navigating complex co-op missions
Each one pushes a different type of cooperation you will quickly learn that communication is the key to success.
What You'll Do:
- Choose a squad that plays the game you're excited about. or join the waitlist and let us know what game you want to play
- Learn how to communicate, divide tasks, and win (or lose!) as a team
- Practice role-sharing, task-switching, and on-the-fly strategy
- Reflect on how your group works together and how to improve
- Celebrate both success and chaos with your squad
What You'll Learn:

- Strategic Thinking: Balance planning, resource use, and adaptation
- Communication Skills: Give and receive directions, assign roles, and listen actively

What You'll Need:
- A working camera and microphone
- Ability to join sessions on Gather.town (The Recess Virtual Universe)
- Access to the specific game your squad is playing (most are on Steam)
Parents may need to assist with game setup or accounts
Choosing Your Squad
Each squad sticks with one game unless the entire group decides to try something new. If your child isn’t sure which game they’d enjoy most, just register for any squad or join the waitlist and Christopher will reach out to help confirm the right fit.
