Build a Journaling Habit That Sticks
A weekly club for tweens and teens who want writing to feel like thinking, not homework.
Maybe a blank page makes you freeze. Maybe you already have three half-filled notebooks shoved in a drawer. Either way, this club is for you. Show up once a week, write for a while, and leave with a page that belongs to nobody but you.
What You'll Do
Every week you get a quiet hour that's yours. There's a prompt if you want one and full permission to ignore it if you don't. Write, scribble, doodle, make a list, complain about your day. Whatever gets your brain onto the page.
The point is the routine. Doing this alone is hard, which is why we do it together at the same time every week. After a few weeks, writing stops feeling like an assignment and starts feeling like a place to put your thoughts.
What This Isn't
- Not a grammar or spelling class
- Not essay writing
- Nobody is correcting you, grading you, or fixing your work
- You never have to share and you never have to use the prompt
- No pressure to be deep, funny, or impressive
This club is about process, not performance.
What to Bring
Not much, but get cozy.
- A notebook or journal, any kind
- Pens or pencils, fountain pens welcome if you want to get fancy
- A warm drink
- Something comfortable: blanket, hoodie, stuffie, pillow
- A snack, highly encouraged
How It Works
- Format: One live session per week
- Ages: 11 to 15
- Each session: A short optional prompt, quiet writing time, then sharing and discussion if you feel like it
- Live and small: Real writing time with a small group, not a lecture
Pick a time
Age ranges are just suggestions! You can register for any cohort.
