It is time to code.

Why?

So that you can make games.

So that you can build websites.

So that you can program art.

So that you can generate stupendous amounts of money.

This course is designed for new coders or for students looking to brush up on their fundamentals. No pre-requisities — if you can type, you can code.

It's the perfect follow-up to Scratch.

It's perfect for kids who always wanted to make a game but didn't know how to start.

It's perfect if you dig Redstone or MineCraft modding tools.

Check it out! By the end of this four-week course you will have the skills you need to program simple videogames, and the course will also open the door to more advanced technological topics on Recess and elsewhere.

What is Jippity?

Jippity is the best place for kids to code online. Jippity teaches real code — JavaScript, HTML, and CSS — but softens the difficulty of learning syntax through a powerful AI assistant that can turn your ideas, plainly written, into functional code.

This course has been specially designed by Mark Ivlev, a developer, tutor, and saxophonist (yes, all Jippity employees must pass a saxophone exam) for Recess. Mark puts games in the spotlight and teaches all the fundamentals of code in an interactive, friendly way.
