What You’ll Do:
Want to make a website? Maybe a space travel agency website, or a wiki documenting the morphology of dragons? Whatever your idea, I’ll help you bring it to life. Over six weeks, we’ll use Figma to create your very own website. Each week we’ll cover fundamental visual design principles, enabling you to make your website look and feel insanely cool (or professional, take your pick).
Concepts Encountered:
- User empathy, pain points, iterative design, ideation, planning, wireframing
- Whitespace, hierarchy, consistency
- Choosing fonts and colors
- The Figma design editor
What You'll Get:
- Meet once per week in a small group (4-6 kids)
- Cover core design principles as a group
- Apply principles to your design with individually tailored guidance
What You’ll Need:
- Download Figma
- You'll want a way to find/generate images and graphics. I would recommend a Midjourney subscription, but you could also try Unsplash, Canva, or Lexica.
- Good computer skills will come in handy
- Epic Ideas
