Dungeons and Dragons: 5 Day Campaign
Choose your hero, assemble your party, and go on an adventure perfect for new and experienced players!
Hosted by 2 expert guides
This summer the Guild of Imagination is running a D&D camp on Recess. Over 5 sessions in one week, your kid will play through a complete campaign from start to finish with a small group and a trained Game Master guiding the way. Each session is 2 hours of live play.
Never played before? No problem. Your kid will learn everything they need as they play. Already experienced? They'll get a full week of immersive storytelling with a group that's just as into it as they are.
What Your Kid Will Do
- Welcome to the Guild Your kid joins their group, meets their Game Master, gets their character, explores their backstory, learns the game mechanics, and the journey begins
- Into the Wilds They'll navigate through challenging terrain, learn how combat works, encounter their first creatures, and start learning how to work as a team
- Secrets of the Realms The group explores ancient ruins, solves puzzles, interacts with mystical artifacts, and learns how to use their character's skills to solve problems
- Trials of Valor and Wit Things get harder. More complex combat, deeper role-playing, and the group has to strategize against serious foes
- The Epic Conclusion The final showdown. Your kid uses everything they've learned, faces the ultimate challenge, achieves their character's goals, and the group celebrates the journey together
What They'll Need
- A computer with a working microphone and camera
Why D&D
D&D isn't just a game. Your kid will practice teamwork, creative problem solving, public speaking, and thinking on their feet without it ever feeling like a lesson. They'll build confidence by making decisions that matter in a low-pressure environment where mistakes are part of the fun.
If your kid has struggled to connect, felt left out, or just hasn't found their people yet, this is a great place to start. The small group format and guided storytelling gives every kid a role and a voice.
How It Works
- 5 sessions over 1 week (2 hours each)
- Ages 8 to 14
- Small groups so every kid gets a real role in the story
- Daily feedback You'll get a personal message from your kid's Game Master after day one and a wrap-up at the end about how your kid showed up, contributed, and grew throughout the week
About the Game Masters
The Guild of Imagination Game Masters run D&D on Recess year-round. They're trained to make every player feel welcome, guide new players without slowing things down, and create stories that kids actually care about.
