Join us for an exciting journey through the diverse world of multimedia art!

In this class, we will explore a range of techniques and mediums from traditional drawing and painting to graphic art. Meeting twice a week, we will dedicate Mondays to mastering technical skills and Thursdays to sharing our work and creating virtual exhibitions.

Class Structure:

Note: Registration to Art Club includes classes offered two days a week.

Monday Sessions (Technical Focus):

• Learn and practice fundamental techniques in various art forms.
• Explore different materials and tools, including pencils, charcoal, oil pastels, Crayola crayons, acrylics, and watercolors.
• Develop skills in composition, perspective, color theory, and more.
• Dive into graphic art techniques, including collage and marker use.

Thursday Sessions (Creative Collaboration):

• Share your artwork with classmates and receive constructive feedback.
• Collaborate on projects and group critiques.
• Work on creating virtual exhibitions to showcase your progress and creativity.

Concepts Encountered:

• Drawing: Basics to advanced techniques, including shading, perspective, and anatomy.
• Painting: Exploring different styles such as realism, impressionism, and abstract.
• Graphic Art: Techniques such as collage and the use of markers for bold, expressive pieces.
• Creative Expression: Encouraging personal style and unique artistic voice.
• Virtual Exhibition: Techniques for displaying art online, curating digital galleries.

What You Will Need:

• Drawing Supplies: Sketchbook, pencils, erasers, charcoal, oil pastels, Crayola crayons.
• Painting Supplies: Acrylic or watercolor paints, brushes, canvas or multimedia paper.
• Graphic Art Supplies: Markers, materials for collage (magazines, glue, scissors).
• General Supplies: Palette for mixing, cup of water for cleaning brushes, hard board and painter's tape for neat edges (optional).

Note: We can adapt projects to the materials you have available, so don't worry if you don't have everything listed.

Through our time together, you will develop a versatile skill set and a collection of artworks ready to be showcased in our virtual exhibitions.
