Join us for an exciting journey through the diverse world of multimedia art!
In this class, we will explore a range of techniques and mediums, from traditional drawing and painting to graphic art. Meeting once a week, we will dedicate our time to mastering technical skills, creating personal projects, and sharing our artwork in a collaborative environment.
You'll also have the opportunity to join the weekly Artist Workshop & Showcase session every Tuesday, exclusively for those signed up for an Art experience with Bridget.
Class Structure:
Weekly Session (Technical & Creative Focus):
- Learn and practice fundamental techniques in various art forms.
- Explore different materials and tools, including pencils, charcoal, oil pastels, Crayola crayons, acrylics, and watercolors.
- Develop skills in composition, perspective, color theory, and more.
- Share your artwork with classmates for constructive feedback and group critiques.
- Work on creating virtual exhibitions to showcase your creativity.
Concepts Encountered:
- Drawing: From basic to advanced techniques, including shading, perspective, and anatomy.
- Painting: Experimenting with styles such as realism, impressionism, and abstract art.
- Graphic Art: Techniques like collage and marker use to create bold, expressive works.
- Creative Expression: Encouraging your personal style and artistic voice.
- Virtual Exhibition: Tips on displaying art online and curating digital galleries.
What You Will Need:
- Drawing Supplies: Sketchbook, pencils, erasers, charcoal, oil pastels, Crayola crayons.
- Painting Supplies: Acrylic or watercolor paints, brushes, canvas or multimedia paper.
- Graphic Art Supplies: Markers, materials for collage (magazines, glue, scissors).
- General Supplies: Palette for mixing, cup of water for cleaning brushes, hard board, and painter's tape for neat edges (optional).
Note: We can adapt projects to the materials you have available, so don’t worry if you don’t have everything listed.
